Today one of my favourite kids who always used to get average marks in school, came & showed me very high marks in her recently completed class 8th terminal exams. I used to be so happy when I used to see her average marks. It made me feel more sure that she was enjoying her childhood and growing up right. I have forever tried to tell kids growing up around me to study only if they enjoy... else just do what they want (of course I have tried to encourage them to read literature and luckily barring one all are big time into reading)... And I just can't believe that in classes like 6th, 7th, 8th etc there could be many kids who enjoy studies... Firstly that's the age to play more.. secondly given the below average quality of teachers in most schools how can kids enjoy studies.. and finally with the kind of approach to studies in most schools kids just can't enjoy studies. So I want to hear from children around me about their friends.. their sports..their first crush etc.....

Was great talking sometime back on 'Future of Work' to the final year MBA students of CUHK (Chinese University Hong Kong) and explaining why human beings are "not" born to work. They are born to holiday, chase their passions, have sex or simply laze around. The last thing they are born to do is to get up at 6 in the morning to rush to office at 9!! Like religion and marriage this 9-5 work is a man made system that's working as of now. But like the rest, it's bound to disappear in times to come! In future human beings will do what they feel like and society will still take care of their basic needs, education, health and shelter. They sure got the shock of their life The best question was, sir then we will have population explosion.. how to tackle that.
