After almost three long years I feel rejuvenated! My readers know in 2014, I totally and blindly supported Modi's campaign ( http://www.thesundayindian.com/.../12-reasons-why.../48936/ ) despite many of my friends not ready to forgive him for Gujarat riots. Somewhere I believed here is a leader who can change India. After he won the elections of course I was totally silenced. I tried to write with hope, but did not see the results I expected (http://www.arindamchaudhuri.com/.../575-what-modi-must-do...). And then I wrote out of frustration (http://www.dailyindian.com/.../waiting-for-mr-modis-man.../).
And then came 11/9 a historical day in our lives and I found my excitement back (https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10155128951585016&substory_index=0&id=76429890015&__tn__=%2As)
Today after 3 days of the announcement my excitement has only multiplied. And it's not only because at IIPM Think Tank we have always lobbied for removal/ legalization of black money through various schemes including demonetisation of 500 and 1000 Rupee notes (http://www.thesundayindian.com/.../dictatorship-of.../16135/) but also because after seeing all the problems government is facing, I am more than sure the entire idea was worth its while! I know there are difficulties people are facing, but for such a huge benefit to the nation every Indian must cooperate and go through this phase with positivity and peace. Yes many people say Modi should have planned it better. I am sure he would have also wanted to, yet I know he must have done his best and is still trying to.
Here are IIPM Think Tank - Planman Media's 'The Sunday Indian's 5 reasons on why banning of 500 and 1000 Rupee notes is the best thing Modi could have done, and why we must celebrate.
1. Black cash RIP
Unlike what many politicians, media people and economists are trying to mislead, it's incorrect to say that black money has long been converted into land/ gold and this scheme is to harass people.
Modi is totally a mass leader and the last thing he plans is to harass those who voted him to power. In economics there is something called velocity of money. In simple words if an economy has 1000 worth products being sold in a year, it doesn't need to print notes worth 1000 and maybe notes worth 200 will do. Because in a year money changes hands say 5 times where we say 5 is the velocity of money. In the case of black money the velocity might be more than white money. But money is definitely in the system. Say Mr X has black money. He doesn't want to keep in hand and immediately buys land. Then the black money is with Mr Y who sells him the land. Say even he doesn't want to keep the money and buys gold. Then the money is with Mr. Z who sells gold. Someone definitely has it in hand. They include terrorists, naxalites, black marketeers, politicians and even businessmen. And they have all been hurt!
Its stupid to say black cash has all been converted. Black cash is there in the country and in huge amounts. And that black cash was all stored in 1000 and 500 rupee notes. And it's all bogus now. So whatever any political leaders says, don't care. They are all corrupt. So is anyone trying to criticize demonetisation!
Just celebrate... that those who looted this country and didn't pay taxes have finally been taught a great lesson.

2. Criminal Politicians Bankrupt
A huge chunk of this black cash was with those who cheat us the most. The politicians. Who promise us the stars and after coming to power only sit and make money. These are people most affected. So they are trying to mislead the public. Create panic. Engineer loots. And vocally shouting against Modi. Because their election funds are gone and they will now have to do hard work and door to door campaigning to get votes instead of distributing alcohol bottles on the day before elections with their black money.
So celebrate that these scums now have a huge depletion in their cash reserves! Yes they are trying to find out many loopholes, but Modi is also finding out newer ways to pluck them totally with commitment. Every day new rules are being brought to make the scheme a success!
Celebrate criminal politicians going bankrupt
3. Deflation
When money supply in an economy reduces and it chases the same amount of goods, then prices fall down. Every politician has been shouting about inflation for so long This is the biggest every anti inflationary move ever done by any leader post India's Independence. Demonetosation will reduce prices of everything in the coming future and cause something Indians have never seen before. Deflation. Yes my friends deflation. And those who converted their black cash into land and gold, even the value of their loot will come down considerably as land prices and gold prices come down.
There are some economists who are incorrectly saying purchasing power will go down. They must realize, this black money was mainly used for unproductive and hoarding purposes like land and gold. So this money was never really a part of purchasing power of the masses. Rather this money was increasing the prices of land and gold and everything else. Now with this reduced phenomenally, there will be deflation!
So celebrate. Celebrate deflation (No other media will write about it. They are intellectually dwarfed).
4. Courage to stand alone
Celebrate that we finally have a PM who has the courage to stand alone. Make no mistake. Modi today stands alone. All the murderers (from politicians to gangsters), goons, musclemen are all against him today... and the scums are all united together against him. From illegal businessmen to politicians to even his party members and RSS members, he has now made all of them his enemies. And given a chance every one would like to get him assassinated. Telling I will give my life for the country and doing nothing that will make it risky is quite different from doing things boldly that actually puts your life at risk
So, celebrate that we finally have a politician who has made everyone an enemy and risked his life for the sake of removing corruption unlike our Delhi government which is busy right now running a completely fake campaign of teaching 74 precent of Delhi's school going kids -who they found can't read- how to read their text books in only 14 days (between Nov 1st and November 14th).
Celebrate the Courage to stand alone
5. Modi at his best
Celebrate that Modi who had come with a lot of fanfare and then had almost become 'maun" -while the hindu fringe elements in the country started spreading hatred and polarization through various shamefully non development agendas like gau raksha etc. - is back. Modi is finally walking the talk. He is back and he is roaring. He stands alone committed to the nation. And let's hope that he doesn't let anyone in his party now spread religious nonsense to divide this nation. Anyways those hate mongers must be busy counting the black cash that they had to burn down.
Celebrate that Modi is back now exactly in the same frame of mind that he seemed to be in 2014. Action oriented and on the move. Nothing can be more heartening than to hear him speak again with the same passion and back his words with action.
