How the Communal Violence Bill can be a disaster for India, the Congress and the Gandhi family

The road to hell is almost always paved with noble intentions. In the Indian democracy, this has been proven true a countless number of times. I am afraid we shall be headed yet again towards hellish times if a new policy that is being currently debated manages to become law, thanks to the super secular denizens of India whose intensity and range of noble intentions usually matches the mayhem that the same noble intentions often trigger.

I am talking about the well intentioned economists, sociologists, activists and assorted jholawala types who are convinced that it is their divine right to advice the UPA regime on all sorts of policy issues. Right at the top of this pyramid of do-gooders is the National Advisory Council (NAC) which is headed by Sonia Gandhi. Virtually all the members of NAC have impeccable records and reputations when it comes to their commitment towards the aam aadmi of India. Let me also be very clear in stating that a lot of credit for path breaking policy changes like the Right to Information Act, the NREGA and the Right to Education Act should go to the NAC. It is also wonderful to see members of the NAC valiantly battle it out against a callous, insensitive and cruel government when it comes to implementing the Right to Food Act.

I believe the solution to communal hatred and religious crimes is to remove these words completely from books of law. If some Muslims burn some hindus in a train alive, this incident CAN be reported as a rioting crowd having killed innocent citizens. It is when the religions of the people involved is mentioned, that religious sentiments get hurt. We read about rapes and murders every now and then, but an average reader only feels compassion and sympathy for the victim and anger towards the perpetrator, unless the religion is mentioned. When the headline reads that a Hindu killed a Muslim over some stupid religious issue, that the reader reminds himself of his religion. This is when he takes sides. And this is the root of communal hatred. Whether the guilty and the victim belonged to different faiths or not, the severity of the crime remains unaffected. Then why have a category for religious crimes at all? Religion is the worst reason anybody could fight for. High time people realised that.

The Drafting committee of Communal violence Bill has members like John Dayal , who is head of Catholic church , how such a committee is expected to make a secular bill ? it is a bill to Target Hindus , no matter whoever starts violence , only the "Minority " is protected group in this bill .

Let's not call it communal violence bill. In reality, It is Anti-Hindu Blasphemy law. So my urgent appeal to all: please call it "Anti-Hindu Blasphemy Law". If we can popularize the term "Anti-Hindu Blasphemy law" then half the battle is won.

Many aspects of India's Anti-Hindu Blasphemy Law are worse than Pakistan and other islamic countries blasphemy laws.

Pakistan's anti-blasphemy law is implicitly anti-hindu, curtails free speech, but it does not apply to a group clash; However, India's CVB is explicitly anti-hindu, automatically assumes that a hindu is guilty, and curtails free-speech and criticism directed at non-hindu faiths. In many respect, CVB is Supra Blasphemy law.

Number of hindus killed in communal violence is far larger then what pseudo-secular would like us to believe. Terrorism is also a form of communal violance because almost all terror organisation from anti-hindu maoist, nagaland for christ NSCN to Islamist target hindus on the basis of religion.
