👉🏿👉🏿In the Last 24 hours India had the SECOND HIGHEST NEW CASES in the world👈🏿👈🏿, overtaking Brazil. The world had 1.94 lac new cases. India is now having 2,00,000 new cases every 7 days and no. of official deaths are 500+ daily.
Economy is losing steam and people are losing their jobs.
This is not the time to think for big business houses, this is the time to bail out the POOR. The Pandemic is far from over and far from its peak globally, plus there is the real fear of a second wave.
The govt. has initiated a great plan to send food-grains and pulses to the poor.
Now it needs to guarantee them minimum income. It will cost the government only 1,00,000 cr per month to pay Rs.1000 per head per month to the poorest 20cr families. If the government is really committed to the 20 lac crore package, then even after giving the rich businesses enough of bailout, it will be able to give this 1,00,000 cr. for the next 12 months.
Along with this the government needs to announce a National Coronavirus Insurance Scheme for every citizen, where all the cost of treatment is taken care of by the government.
It will not only save the poor, but also win them all forthcoming elections.
NB. Needless to say, as I have been writing, when the vaccine comes, it must be FREE for everyone.
